We at the Maryland Robotics Center recognize that strength comes through diversity and actively seek and welcome students with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and identities. Listed below are the diversity-in-robotics programs we offer.

We would like to acknowledge and thank Amazon Lab126 and Microsoft for their diversity-in-robotics program sponsorship.

Amazon Lab126 University of Maryland Diversity in Robotics and AI Seed Grant Program

The Amazon Lab126 Seed Grant Program is a new component of the Amazon Lab126–University of Maryland Diversity in Robotics and AI initiative. The program will support UMD and UMD’s HBCU partner school faculty, students, and researchers working in robotics and AI and is intended to enable inter-institutional collaboration with UMD’s HBCU partner schools to further increase the diversity pipeline and enhance connectivity between faculty, students, and researchers in robotics and AI.
