The MRC General Fund supports the research and educational mission of the Maryland Robotics Center, which is an interdisciplinary research center housed in the Institute for Systems Research within the A. James Clark School of Engineering. The mission of the center is to advance robotic systems, underlying component technologies, and applications of robotics through research and educational programs that are interdisciplinary in nature and based on a systems approach. The fund contributes to MRC’s K-12 outreach programs as well as to numerous educational and research opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students, including robotics teams and competitions, advanced training and internships, expanding educational offerings, and attendance at professional conferences.
