Easton Robotics CEO and Two Master of Engineering Students Discuss Building an Autonomous Vehicle for Small Farms

Join a virtual talk about two Robotics students’ experience in designing and building an autonomous vehicle for small farming applications during their internship at Easton Robotics. Learn how two summer interns survived the pandemic and had fun building a robot while learning about farming and chasing deer.

Easton Robotics CEO, Jeff Chandler, and our two interns, Pradeep Gopal and Govind Ajith Kumar, will present a one-hour session to discuss the market for agricultural robotics and the challenges in designing and building a unmanned autonomous ground vehicle (UGV). We will describe the unique challenges in building a robot in an apartment at the University of Maryland during the lockdown. We will discuss the business challenges and the technical challenges, and talk about how these problems were solved.
